Feast of Shavuot con’t…

Well, I blew that one didn’t I? The feast of Pentecost has come and gone twice, the traditional day and the biblical day, and with the longer days and lack of help on my numerous commitments, in addition to some travel schedules since the end of April, and I am struggling to maintain this blog that I enjoy so much! I am also falling behind on videos that I had promised to deliver, and I apologize for this. I regret it terribly, because some of these blog followers are new students of the bible, and where does faith come from? By hearing the word of God. Actually, I must point out that in Romans 10:17, faith comes by hearing, and “HEARING” (in other words, “understanding”) comes by the word of God. Pay attention to the wording, as it reveals the wisdom of Paul. We must be engrossed in our bible daily, so that the word increases our understanding and by comprehension of the word of God our gift of faith is increased. Maybe soon I will be blessed with the time and resources I desperately need to continue this mission of sharing the knowledge of God, that our faith be increased in these difficult times.

If you are patient enough, and of course, interested enough to stay with these blog articles, I would like to continue sharing this wonderful story of Ruth, and explain her connection to the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost). 2 weekends ago I was corrected by a Jewish friend that said he never remembered reading anything about Ruth on Shavuot, only reading from the Torah (5 books of Moses and the Law). He was amazed by some facts I shared with him, such as her being the great grandmother of David. So I think it will be fun to restore this connection between Ruth and the Pentecost, and why her story is important. To be perfectly honest, I have struggled and procrastinated over the best way to present this story, and the mind blowing prophecy regarding it that remained hidden in the bible for over 3000yrs until now. So, here is the way I have decided to do this, presenting short segments that are readable in a few minutes on the blog and emails, until all the pieces are put together. And at the very end, I will share something amazing with you, that was prophesied in code in the Torah, that was unknown even to Moses, and remained hidden in the bible from his time to the present, finally discovered with the use of computers in modern times.

Let’s begin by reading the book of Ruth, to become at least somewhat familiar with the story. Then over the coming weeks, I will share some important insights and details, and complete the “rest of the story”. It is only 4 chapters, I will send one chapter daily so take your time, and I will come back around to this asap and break it all down. I think you will enjoy this, and I believe this story will increase your love for God, understanding all that He has done for His people, through the Gentiles, bringing us all together here in the last days, as Ruth did for Israel in her day.

The Book of Ruth, Chapter 1:

1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. 2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there. 3 And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons. 4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years. 5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman (Naomi) was left of her two sons and her husband. 6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread. 7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah. 8 And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the Lord deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me. 9 The Lord grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept. 10 And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people. 11 And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? 12 Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons; 13 Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the Lord is gone out against me. 14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. 15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. 16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. 18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. 19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? 20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? 22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

Tomorrow I will share chapter 2, and each day until all 4 chapters have been sent. Take your time reading and understanding, then I’ll come back to it and review some amazing facts of this story. Soon we have the Feast of Trumpets on Rosh Hashanah coming in September, and it is important to understand how these feasts are prophetic, and how they have been fulfilled, or remain to be fulfilled in prophecy.

Thank you for reading and sticking with me on this blog, and of course, share with others! Now is not a good time to be ignorant about God or His word! So please share if you think you know anyone that might benefit from this blog. My goal is to clarify and expose some of the mysteries hidden in the bible, that we may know God to a greater extent, and complete our destined purposes in this life, overcoming the adversary’s attempts to deny us His blessings! I welcome comments to mark@johnone.org - Thank You!!
